TETRA Ireland is an Irish company that owns and operates the National Digital Radio Service (NDRS). TETRA Ireland was appointed by the Department of Finance to build and operate the NDRS following a competitive tender process undertaken in 2006. The TETRA Ireland mission is to deliver a National Digital Radio Service that offers their customers the best mission-critical communications solution there is.

Sigma Wireless is a founding member of the TETRA Ireland consortium, a shareholder and the contracted entity of the Master Supply Agreement for the continued support of the national digital radio solution (NDRS).

We have successfully operated a multi agency service for the past thirteen years and we are pleased to confirm that the Irish Government has recently extended the TETRA Ireland contract for a further 7 + 2 years

  • TETRA Operator -emergency Services – 25,000 Users with over 99% national coverage.

  • Sigma Wireless are shareholder and main system support partner for national network (600 + sites).

  • Sigma Wireless was central to the entire network design and provides nationwide engineering support.

  • New contract for 7+1+1 year extension (final negotiation)
